Yoga Company Plants Grove in Lower Mississippi River Valley

Gaiam, a popular yoga store has partnered with The Conservation Fund. to plant trees in the Lower Mississippi River Valley. So far, they have already planted one of these “Gaiam Groves” in an area that has lost more than 20 million acres of bottomland hardwood forests in the last 100 years due to deforestation.

The Conservation Fund / Gaiam partnership only plants native trees, those species that are indigenous to the Mississippi River Valley area, including species of cypress and oak.

Federal Government decides to tear down public housing in New Orleans

US Recall News a website about recalled product information posted recently about the possible shutdown of public housing complexes in New Orleans. The problem is these unit were only partially flood damaged and could be repaired easier and cheaper then replacing them. Meanwhile people are out on the streets because rent has skyrocketed in New Orleans. This move ludicrous and is clearly another set back to rebuilding New Orleans .
